Cohasset Youth Lacrosse (CYL) promotes lacrosse among youth residing in Cohasset, MA through grade-level programs open to all interested participants in grades 1-8. We teach the fundamentals of the game, promote good sportsmanship, respect for all participants, teamwork and cooperation with the Cohasset High School lacrosse programs.
Accordingly, our goals are:
To promote individuals, but to promote skill development, sportsmanship, team-play and love of the sport.
To create and maintain grade-level programs focused on teaching fundamental skills and introducing low-key competition with similar programs in nearby towns.
To create a challenging, engaging, learning environment where children of differing levels of skill and physical development can learn and enjoy the game of lacrosse.
Engage adults and experienced high school players to teach, coach and referee the scrimmages and games in which Cohasset Lacrosse players participate.
Provide access to safe, well-maintained fields with appropriate equipment and uniforms.
The CYL Board is manned by parent volunteers. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with administrative operations of the program. Please contact Melissa Coveney - firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in helping the Board.
